In fact, each of its compounds gives the new material some characteristics that make this plastic a <strong>quality technical material<\/strong> with properties such as ha<strong>rdness, stability, resistance to chemical attacks, also to high and low temperatures, toughness, mechanical resistance, rigidity and shine.<\/strong><br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nAll these virtues of ABS entail that it can be found in a multitude of objects and applications. For instance in <strong>electronic devices<\/strong> such as computers, televisions and radios. The <strong>automotive industry<\/strong> also uses ABS parts. The low toxicity and easy pigmentation of ABS makes it an ideal material for making <strong>toys and office supplies<\/strong>.Qualities like the low absorption of water makes it a perfect plastic for <strong>bathrooms and wet areas<\/strong>. And of course, the high and low temperature resistance &#8211; especially at low temperatures &#8211; and shock resistance make it the ideal <strong>plastic for outdoor use.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Polyamide<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Polyamide is a type of polymer that contains amide-type bonds<\/strong>, a type of material that can be found in nature, such as wool and silk.<\/p>\n<p>Although originally -and still- the polyamide was<strong> used to produce nylon textile products<\/strong>, today it is used as <strong>injected plastic<\/strong> and is already widely utilized in the plastic industry.<\/p>\n<p>Other materials can be added to the polyamide, this modifies its physical and mechanical characteristics. Materials usually added are graphite, teflon or fiberglass.<\/p>\n<p>The properties of the polyamide are mainly related to its resistance and rigidity: <strong>to the shock (it is a shock-absorbing material)<\/strong>, it also stands out for its <strong>resistance to deformation at hight and low temperatures<\/strong>,<strong> to chemical substances, to fatigue, friction and wear, as well as for its hardness and tenacious.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All these properties make it<strong> ideal for manufacturing automotive pieces, gear machinery and other pieces which undergo mechanical and friction use.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Polycarbonate<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Polycarbonate is a thermoplastic,<\/strong> which means that at some temperature it can be moulded and handled. Polycarbonate polymers have<strong> long carbonate chains in their structure<\/strong>, which give the material its name.<\/p>\n<p>The characteristics of this technical material are -below 125\u00baC- <strong>good dimensional stability, good resistance to chemical attacks (with an exception to alkalis), good tenacity and mechanical properties, resistance to impact, transparency and elasticity in finished products.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Polycarbonate products are usually obtained by injection, blowing and extrusion.
